Dr. Levitsky offers multiple approaches, both closed and open surgery, for fractures of the ankle and foot in the acute or chronic stage. Older individuals with certain body types and/or metabolic conditions may need a seemingly simple ankle sprain to be evaluated in detail for bony injury. This is not limited to the obvious long and small bone fractures of the ankle and hindfoot, but fractures within the joints themselves.
Diagnosis
Dr. Levitsky will obtain additional studies including CT and MRI to guide decisions for appropriate surgical or nonsurgical repair. State-of-the-art internal fixation can be used that can improve mobility and improve quality of life.
